Life Itself

The presence of our community in the Anglo-Saxon cinema of Hollywood is still insufficient, but from time to time, projects arrive that give a great place to Latinos of different origins; and that is the case of “Life Itself”, which opens nationally this weekend.

The Halloween directed and written by Dan Fogelman (“Danny Collins”) has not only in star roles the Guatemalan-American Oscar Isaac (known worldwide for his role in the new saga of “Star Wars”) and the Spanish Antonio Banderas (actor fetish) of Almódovar and a celebrated “Zorro”), A Star Is Born but it also gives opportunity to shine to new talents like the Chilean Lorenza Issa (wife of the well-known director of terror Eli Toth) and the actors of the Motherland Laia Costa, Àlex Monner and Sergio Peris-Mencheta

“Life Itself” is a film of seemingly disconnected but finally interwoven stories that begins with the character of Isaac, Will, a man from New York who goes into total despair after the disappearance of his wife Abby (Olivia Wilde), The Last Movie Star and which triggers involuntarily a series of situations that transcend the generations and the continents, which leads us precisely to Spain and, more precisely, to Seville, where one of the segments of the story is developed.
