Burning

The South Korean filmmaker Lee Chang-dong presented at Cannes “Burning” a mysterious and brilliant film that maintains a pulse with the spectator, Dogman whom he challenges in a game of confusion inspired by Haruki Murakami and William Faulkner.

A film with which the director Colette competes for the Golden Palm of Cannes and which has left space for the viewer to discover and interpret many ambiguous elements left in the narrative, Lee told a press conference.

A kind of love triangle with Green Book essence of “thriller” that is inspired by the story “Barn Burning”, by Murakami, who in turn made a free version of a work of the same title by Faulkner.
